MYLA takes over Selfridges Christmas Window

Last night London was a buzz with Christmas dreaming, as crowds gathered for the turning on of the lights, and Selfridges unveiled their world famous Christmas feature window. This year luxury lingerie brand MYLA won the coveted position, collaborating with the talented artist and illustrator Marianne Gue´ly to create a spectacular winter wonderland in a window.

The collaboration could not have been a better fit, as similar to how MYLA is known for exceptional craftsmanship, structure and delicacy, so is Marianne's work (made entirely out of paper) is famed for being both works of beauty and  triumphs of engineering.

Having previously collaborated with Yves Saint Laurent & Chanel, Marianne Gue´ly is no stranger to fantastic feats in the name of fashion. Her intricate vision in collaboration with MYLA for the Selfridges window was no different, her 3D mock up of a Russian Christmas Wonderland wowed the judges, and within just 3 weeks the work was completed with a team of only 4 people.

The window is phenomenal, drawing you in to discover new elements withe every look. Although lingerie, the window is so tasteful, and something the whole family can enjoy. For me it is remenicent of the Queen of Narnia, enchanting, beautiful and captivating.

Shop the Window. This Christmas, you can look like an enchanted Queen too. Here are the beautiful featured pieces from the MYLA AW14 Collection.
