Tips for Looking Great For Less.

I love when fashion that is affordable and this look comes under £30, shoes included. The trick saving money?

1) Save your money to the end of 1 season and the beginning of another and buy cute cross over peices that work well in either. This crop sweater is perfect for the chillier side of a British weather which we are all experiencing now. Top: H&M £5 Sale.

2) Pay attention to charity shop windows. I spotted this tartan kilt for £10

3) Look out for closing down / moving location sales. There are loads in London, so be sure to keep an eye out. I got these in a shop closing on Oxford St, for £15

Save money on the outfit so you can spend on beauty. It is all about the staples: hair face & shoes.

The hair was by yours truly @lawandmiw to buy visit www.lawandmiaw.com, or for more inspiration like us on FB: Hair By Law And Miaw, or instagram and Youtube, @Lawandmiaw

Ootd Throw Back Thursday

3 weeks into the new year and two of those weeks have been spent wrapped up in bed fighting off the plague. I had such better plans for 2015. The first day I recovered enough to don heels you know what I did ? Hobbled my ass down to Zara to see the last of those sales. I picked myself up this jacket for £49.99 and the necklace for £7.99. Here is a tip for sales - to avoid going nuts buying things you don't really want or need - always remember you will never regret a coat- it can be accessorised several different ways and can easily dress up a plain outfit.

Today I headed to shoreditch to prove just that dressed, as my friend on Instagram Pointed out,  like a pilgrim - perhaps it's because I felt like a survivor :)

Loves and Finds: Crop Bustier from H and M

Who says lingerie is just for wearing underneath?  I came across this crop bustier from H&M and thought it was just to beautiful to conceal!

Great with a high waisted skirt, jeans or trousers, this crop supports the boobs and dramatises an hour glass shape, whilst offering killer support.

I got mine from H&M who have some great bustiers for really reasonable prices. Check in store or see my favourites below.

For those with a smaller chest, this is perfect. Also comes in white and nude!

Coast SS15 Preview.

If you know me at all you will know that I am a huge fan of Coast. Statement drama pieces that transform an ordinary city stroll show stopping extravaganza- what's not to love? Far from the occasional bridal wear indulgence, Coast offers statement pieces which transform the everyday ordinary outfit to outstanding. I have been campaigning for women to use some imagination, embrace their fabulosity and bring high drama items from Coast into their everyday lives for a while now. Go nuts! SS15 sees, statement singles, that can be worn together or alone, accessorised with a t-shirt or dressed up with diamonds, the combinations are as endless as they are fearless.

Think Carrie Bradshaw, from Sex In The City, never the wallflower, she was known for her high drama extravagant pieces, styled with flair. Who says you need an occasion to be fabulous?

SS15 Coast collection:

Simple Lux.

Simple Lux enjoys soft pastels, pretty pinks, bashful blues and complimenting creams, occasionally embellished with gemstone details, luxurious lace and shimmering sparkles. Despite all this the collection still manages to be refreshingly light, this part of the collection sees understated easy elegance personified with unique pieces, which stand out on their own whilst simultaniously possessing an elegant subtlety that enables them to be worn together with other items in the collection without clash.

Modern Muse,
Last but not least, Coast presents Modern Muse, a collection which is a celebration classic of femininity, elegance and charm. Vintage glamour is revisited to create iconic looks which encourages every woman to swap flats for glass slippers, and play the leading lady (if only for a day).

#OOTD Get the Look Chelsea Casuals

Sometimes I just like to surround myself with pretty things and force myself on a walk. No where ticks those boxes more than Chelsea. With ridiculous transport links to the rest of London, it is pleasantly secluded, and forces one to walk in order to enjoy. Up for the challenge my main chick Princess-Anna-Anastasia and I headed Sloane Square for a walk down Kings Road. The the road was dressed in its Christmas best, sparkly, glistening and charming. Sometimes its a good idea to surround yourself in beauty. So pick up a coffee, grab an old friend & get lost in a new part of town. See how to get the look below.

Boohoo SS15 Preview

with Princess Anna-Anastasia!

I had the pleasure of getting acquainted with boohoo.com's SS15 collection, and the brilliant team behind it during their SS15 preview last week. With a photo-booth, amazing music, ice cream and champagne the atmosphere was bustling, vibrant and fun & did justice to the collection that surrounded it.

Split into separate themed categories, the collection was created to reflect SS15's  trends and the diverse, rapidly changing interests of the boohoo fan base.
What I personally loved was that is each of the varied collections with in the SS15 collection had me picturing a different summer adventure. From Coachella in 'Wild West' to glamourous Miami summer nights in 'Poolside' and NYC clubbing in 'Geo Clash' the collection had me pining for the good times of summer.

Art Class,
Brilliant stand out pieces for statement city show stopping. I fell in love with this coat, and I couldn't believe how reasonably priced it was at £30.00

Culture Clash:

The Clubbing Must Have. For your alter ego:  Think bright colours, ethnic prints and lots of embelishment.

Wild West: Perfect festival wear
Just look at that beautiful embroidered detailing!

Geo Clash

Stand out Bold, monochrome and geometric pieces to make any outfit outstanding.

Poolside:
Floral prints with asian influence. Pyjama style silks and glittery sequined pieces, excellent for hot days in exotic places & glamourous late nights out in tropical climates.

Puritan:
Fresh & feminine. For dreamy days in the country or  cruising around the hills of LA <3

Cotton lace top jumpsuit

Love these embroidered denim shorts!

Boohoo FIT

A new and bang on trend addition, the Boohoo Fit collection. I had the pleasure of meeting the innovative 20 something  designer, Sarah Cormak, who was the creative force behind this stunning 90s revival collection which includes all the hallmarks of that fresh era, with an updated noughties twist. The result? A unique street wear collection, which is as fashion forward as it is practical.

I love this blue snakeskin print on  this crop top shell suit.

Loves & Finds : Zara Duffle Coat

Perusing the aisles of Zara as I am known to do I came across this gorgeous Duffel coat with over sized fur trimmed hood.  I fell in love and had to share.  There is nothing like the embrace of fur around your face, and the comfort & security an oversized hood brings. I am really impressed with the quality of faux fur these days, gone are the days of rough rat tailed trimmings, now faux fur presents it self as a real fashionistas alternative to animal fur.

#OOTD 20s style for your 20s

I have been feeling classic lately, it all started after watching Downton Abbey this Sunday, when Elizabeth got a 20's hair cut and became a 'new woman'. The episode had me pining for a 20's beauty look, and a quick fix for the fringe (bangs) I cut which I am now sorely regretting. The solution? Pin the hair back in a mock pin curl. More on the beauty side of the look later- the point is, that the hair sparked my decision to keep the theme & so I went for a complimenting simplistic 20's look with this H&M fur collar coat and mustard shift dress from Cos. Paired with ankle socks and we have a contemporary take on a classic look.

The dress I got from Cos, last season, but the great news is they have this very similar shift dress- most importantly in Mustard, which is basically the most important part, as the contrast in the black and yellow is what makes this look pop. The coat is in H&M, this season and in stock and was made from recycled wool from their renewable fashion range. How it works is you bring in your old clothes, and get £5.00 off your next purchase, and they recycle the material to make keep the fashion circle going. It is brilliant to see a brand being responsible, and being given £5.00 to get rid of unwanted clothes isn't too bad either. What is the best part is this is a wool coat, for £59.00! Thats a bargain!
