Ooh I hear from a little birdie (
ok not just one, its been a hot topic) that John Galliano has set up camp at Oscar de la Renta. The foot in mouth designer has been on the untouchable list since dismissal at Dior, with only a few bold enough to make press ' eye contact'. Well today the Oscar De La Renta unvailed his AW13 collection, the first since getting in bed with Galliano- leaving the fashion tweeters to speculate as to how much influence he had on the collection ( great PR tactic). Well I dont know about you but the accentuation of the the female form and the style of these jackets look suspiciously Dior New Look to me. Well who ever has had their finger in this design pot I like it. Whats your verdict?
My 2 cents?
The accentuated and defined waists may be very Galliano Dior, but the experimentation and expression through fabrics is all Oscar De La Renta- As for the drama- I would say thats the both of them ;)
