Anne Hathaway's best looks of the week

As her new film Intertellar launches, Anne Hathaway has been a busy social bee. I have been in a love affair with Hathaway since The Princess Diary, and similar to in that brilliant movie, her style transformation has gone from strength to strength over the years.  This season Anne Hathaway's style is in a classic mature phase. I love Hathaway because she is unapologetically herself, pale, brunette, lean- instead of swapping for fake tan, blonde and boobs, she embraces who she is and makes it work. The result is her style is a refreshing window into her personality- I gather she is genuine, quirky and sweet- with a dark side. If I ever meet you Hathaway, don't let me down!

Hathaway stuns in a favourite of mine: All black, red popping lips. Working with texture, is a great way to spice up a black outfit. Anne wears a silk top with a velvet skirt and adds further intrigue with sheer polkadot tights from Calzedonia.

For this day look Anne goes monochrome, again playing with texture on the black skirt she also sports this interesting wiggly hem thing. Love it.

Anne makes this simple silk gown her own by wearing subtle jewellery which just makes her look cool and laid back.  I heard a quip the other day that Anne Hathaway isn't sexy? Well take a look at this and eat your heart out. What could be more sexy than being obviously comfortable and effortlessly confident in your own skin? Thats a real style tip for all of us. Keep doing you girl.

I have been saying it for a while now, a well tailored suit never hurt no body... and now it appears thats true for women too. Anne Hathaway and Salma Hayek boldly take a walk on the man side, and it so pays off. Salma in Yves Saint Laurent mensware by Hedi Silmane, who is noutorious for his love of fitted rock star style suits. Take a look at them both, what do you think. I think it is effortlessly sexy.

At A Glance Best Dressed

This year has been particularly fashionable with Lupita Nyongo coming top of my list. The 12 years a slave star has quickly made her presence known on the red carpet fashion scene, and promises to be a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the battle of best dressed. This week she effortlessly wins my vote in this complimenting purple jump suit by Cushnie et Ochs. The colour and the fabric are so complimenting to her skin tone, making her shimmer and radiate from head to toe, of course that million dollar smile doesn't hurt either...

Next is Karlie Kloss in a white Dior Dress, now as for consistent fabulosity Karlie Kloss does it for me. Unlike some stars who get it so right and then soooo wrong, Karlie pretty much always gets it right. This crisp, simply and flatteringly cut white dress coupled withs sexy black stilettos is the kind of effort simplicity I love her for.

And Naomi embodies an Egyptian Queen in this stunning Michael Kors gown. Shimmer sway sparkle girl!

Lets venture to say you are what you wear- since clothes are the first point of visual communication, I would say that its fair to argue that bright colours allude to a brighter attitude on life. Sorry it has been a while, but I the procrastinator of all procrastinators finally got the kick up my ass to get some mush needed work done. Im back however with this killer look by Eva Mendes which made me smile. As news hits that Ryan Gosling is taking a break from acting... his significant other is looking mighty fine. Come on all you weeping girls, even celebrities deserve some chill out couple time during this long winter ;)

Well I do love a good entrance, and what better way to arrive then a floaty chiffon skirt smoothly floating on a summer breeze. This summer must have item seems to be the skirt. Often over looked, this season skirts have received a much needed style over haul.
