CSM New Kids Show Some Old Dogs New Tricks

Whilst eagerly perusing the aftermath of the first two days of London Fashion Week I was strangely disappointed with the offering from London's trusted crew of designers. I found the collections either too safe (Orla Kiely) or too abstract and over all unattractive to the eye ( JW Anderson). Overall I found both ends of the spectrum, how do I say it uninspiring. It's like these guys are fully out of true innovation and inspiration. I was about to let out an all mighty sigh and give up, when I stumbled upon the CSM MA grad show. These kids had most defiantly poured their heart and soul into their finals, and the result was what fashion should be pure art. New, liberating, engaging, thought- provoking works or genius. Textures, silhouettes, colours and fabrics were experimented with to create brilliant masterpieces. I think that the established designers can learn learn some tricks from these NewGen designers. I say evolve or make way for the future, because it is most certainly bright.

Next Generation Graduates to watch Part 1 WOMENSWEAR

This year the graduates fresh out of the London fashion scene are definitely something to write home about. Each day I will be profiling my favourites from the graduate collections in London- Click to see more x

First up is  Isabell Yalda Hellysaz,
an LCF Graduate Fashion Design BA: Womenswear
Sleek and complex simplicity is perfected in the modern designs of Isabell. Formerly a graphic design student, Isabell's cool lines and silhouettes create an edgy  masculine feminine boy chic that is so on trend.

Next: Shakila Noori, UEL.The impressive final collection Shakila Noori, UEL Graduate 2012, showcased this month at London fashion week, her unique collection has a tribal feel whilst maintaing the modern ecstatic making it desirable, and right on trend for this seasons statement embellished wear. The printed skirt has me thinking back to YSL, whilst the embellished neck line of the shirt would lend a touch of much welcomed regality.

Keep posted for more of my favourites!

We like to encourage everyone to be the star of their own show. And as seen in Vogue best dressed - statement pieces command attention and are right on trend this season.
