It's all about: short hair

Who said short hair can't be sexy? These celebrities prove that the right cut for the right face can be sizzling.  Short hair allows your face to stand out whilst giving you the opportunity to remix your crop with your own personal style to really wear it your own way. Each of the following celebrities have added a unique twist to own their bob. If you are thinking of joining the trend, be sure to check this out for ideas on how you can work your short look.

Kiera Knightley- All about the eyes.
Dramatic eyes, stunning cheekbones and pouty lips, Kiera lets her face do the talking whist her hair enhances and frames her stunning features. The chin bob is great for those with killer cheek bones and a strong jaw line.

Cameron Diaz, Blonde Bombshell.  Cameron gives the classic blonde Marilyn bob with a laid back modern twist. Great for those with fair colouring and bright eyes.
Madmen Christina Hendrix wears her short hair with a retro pin curl for a timeless unique look.

Emma Blunt mixes her long bob with a subtle brown ombre, lifting her look.

Gwenyth Paltrow, works the loose curls for Beach carefree surfer girl look which is just adorable.
Just like Kiera Ginnifer Goodwin works the above the chin bob, and the result is that her eyes pop. A pretty low maintenance hair style this one, pinned back, she gives us all face.

My number one girl Jennifer Lawrence works a beautiful subtle Balayage dye mixing blonde and honey for this sweet look that adds dimensions to her long bob.

Ad the short fringe and blunt cut. Very high Fashion Karlie Kloss looks tres tres chic. This look is great for those with a heart shaped face.

Scandal actress Kerry Washington just looks goregeous at all times, her thick bob and heavy fringe really frames her eyes and sweet heart shaped face, whist the subtle ombre brown adds gorgeous dimension, complimenting her skin tone.

Naomi Campbell keeps it sleek, high shine, high fashion, just like her. You can see the trend here, above the eye fringes really complement a heart shaped face.

So give it a try. It is winter, and who has time to wait for long hair to dry. There are plenty of ways to work short hair, so have some fun and mix it up. Good luck!

The It List : Pigeons & Peacocks, Glitter & Metalics, Donna Karan, FlyArt Productions & Jennifer Lawrence

Welcome my lovely's to another edition of The It List, a compilation of all the things I have seen this week that deserve a shout out.

1. Pigeons & Peacocks, issue 7

London College of Fashion's baby Pigeons and Peacocks magazine launched in 2008 and has been out doing itself ever since. A proud London College of Fashion alumni myself, this week I settled down to read the latest addition to the Pigeons and Peacocks archive. What I saw blew me away. Page after page of stunning editorials and thought provoking articles. I particularly liked the article The (Role) Model on Shaun Ross, an African American albino male model who was featured in Beyonce's Pretty hurts video & is also taking the fashion world by storm.  Undeniably stunning Shaun and other models like him such as Diandra Forresst are the new wave of models, thoughtfully challenging the beauty status quo. A great Article, a must read.

2. Glitter & Metallics

Not all that glitters is gold, no sometimes it is Givency. This season glittering metallics are all in, so pack your shades and get to shimmering. Glittery pieces are a great way to inject some excitement and glamour into your outfit. So reflect some light like the diamond you are and stand out.

Net-a-Porter have some beautiful glitter skirts by Alice + Olivia, Lela Rose & Malene Birger.

You can buy these designer skirts via Net-A-Porter
However, if your budget is a little more modest, Check out this great H&M version for £24.99

Play with texture, these spangled skirts would go beautifully with a simple polo neck,  cashmere sweater or simple linen T-shirt.

3. Donna Karan

I saw this and I just wanted it. End of story, wholly indulgent but none the less top of my wish list. A beautifully made, high drama piece by Donna Karan. It can be worn in a number of different ways and is certainly a head turner.

4. Fly Art Productions.

A brilliant Tumblr account which juxtaposes pop culture slogans over 16th Century Art. The result is just genius and unexpectedly thought provoking.

4. Jennifer Lawrence.

I just can't get enough. Not only was she in Vanity Fair this week, but she also looked classically beautiful this week at her premier.

Jennifer Lawrence, Vanity Fair

This upcoming issue of Vanity features one of my favourite actors, Jennifer Lawrence. Aside from her beauty, the reason I love Jennifer is that she is just so down-to-earth, candid and well, normal.

In the November Issue, not only does she look stunning in a Amazonian themed editorial, captured by Patrick Demarchelier & styled by Jessica Diehl, she also exclusively opens up for the first time about her stolen nude photo's and breech of privacy. Whatever the topic or the trial, you can count on Jennifer to be strong, funny and loveable.

My kind of girl.

Man transforms himself into any celebrity using only makeup.

Well as I am sure many guys have discovered the morning after a cheeky one night snag, makeup can play tricks on the best of us, and thats why we love it. The ability to turn your worst day into your best day via a few strokes of war paint. And its not just us ladies who have mastered the art of deception. This Filipino television host Paolo Ballesteros can transform himself into any celebrity, using only makeup and contacts. Interesting pass time - I'm impressed- I may write for some tips on how to channel my inner Tyra Banks. Check out his instagram
